CEC GCSE Results Day Thursday 12th August 2021

As part of a Trust of schools we are celebrating successes and achievements here at Cranbrook Education Campus. We are exceptionally proud of all our pupils and are thrilled by the results which reflect the hard work, dedication and commitment our young people have given to their learning.

Our headlines for Year 11 (Cohort 2021) are:

  • Progress 8 – +0.5, which means that our pupils achieved on average half a grade above their Government targets in their top 8 subjects.
  • Basics (4+/5+ in English and Maths combined) – 73% and 53% respectively. This is 10% above the national average for Basics 5+ in 2019.
  • Attainment 8 – 48.05 compared to a national average of 46.7 in 2019.

We are not only extremely proud of our pupils for these results, but also for what this fantastic group of young people contributed to our community during their time at CEC.  These pupils have laid the foundations for even greater opportunities and success for future generations of CEC pupils.

We are proud of their achievements and are excited to see how they use their excellent qualifications and the wider skills they have developed whilst at CEC.”

Some notable individual successes include:

  • Milly Gale – Five Grade 9s and Four Grade 8s
  • Mitch Rowe – Five Grade 9s, Two Grade 8s, A Distinction * and One Grade 6
  • Ben Turney – Three Grade 9s, Four Grade 8s and One Grade 7
  • Nathan Barber – Two Grade 9s, Four Grade 8s, One Grade 7 and One Grade 6
  • Finola Dyer – Two Grade 8s, Six Grade 7s and One Grade 6

Their hard work has meant they are able to move on to the destination of their choice, including a significant number going on to Exeter College.

We wish you all the best of luck and very much looking forward to hearing about your successes in the future. Today’s results are truly deserved – you have been a remarkable year group who have faced such a challenging year, well done to you all. #Crantastic #Opportunity #Learning #Community
