COVID-19 Up-date Tuesday 23 February

Following the government announcement for easing COVID restrictions in England, we’re very much looking forward to welcoming all pupils back to our schools from 8 March.

For further information on the governments planned roadmap for easing lockdown restrictions in England you can find key dates and information at gov.uk/coronavirus.

We remain committed to providing safe environments for all our staff, pupils and visitors and continually up-date our risk assessments in line with the latest government guidance. To view our schools latest risk assessments please click here.

In line with the government guidance:

  • All primary school children will return on Monday 8 March. Primary school staff will continue to take 2 rapid COVID-19 tests each week at home.
  • All secondary school students will take three COVID-19 tests as they return to the classroom from 8 March at existing school testing facilities. Schools will have discretion on how to test students over that week to enable their return to the classroom. After the initial programme of three tests in school, students will be provided with 2 rapid tests to use each week at home.
  • Secondary school staff will also be provided with 2 tests to use each week at home.

Please continue to check individual school websites for regular and reliable updates directly from the school on the above and information for the return of all pupils.

We would like to thank you for your continued support during the last year and as we move forward into the schools opening up to all pupils.
