Chair of Governors – Whipton Barton Federation

Come and help us shape the future of education!

The Whipton Barton Federation is going through an exciting time of transformation. Comprised of a Day Nursery, Infant and Junior School working as one to serve the children and community of Whipton, Exeter. An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are now looking for an experienced leader with corporate or Educational oversight to be our Chair of Governors and to help steer the school through its improvement journey.

The Federation believes that high standards will be achieved through a broad and engaging curriculum supported by leaders who are highly focused on developing the quality of teaching, learning and assessment. The unique approach to play, that the Federation advocates, sees children who are intrinsically motivated, facilitating them to have an engaging and meaningful time at school.

Whipton Barton Federation formally joined the Ted Wragg Trust in March 2019. The Trust’s ambition is to raise the aspirations of young people and enable them to become fulfilled, life ready, confident and motivated citizens, able to contribute actively to a democratic society. All pupils within the Ted Wragg Trust, regardless of social or cultural background, are motivated to succeed and make outstanding progress because their needs are met through creative, relevant and innovative provision.
