Come and work at one of the most improved schools in the country.

For September, we are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work under the guidance of the Senior Vice Principal to supervise classes during the absence of teachers. We operate a silent cover policy here at Marine Academy and expect the behaviour of students in cover lessons to match that of those taught by their specialist teachers; you will not be required to deliver complex cover work; we keep things simple so that consistency in every lesson can be achieved.  You will be joining a small team of two other cover supervisors working within the Academy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to get into teaching- we believe in growing people and there will always be an opportunities for talented people to develop their career further. We continually look to invest in our staff and further opportunities for development will be available for those who demonstrate excellent dedication within their role. After a period of rapid improvement we are now firmly one of the best schools in the country, with high expectations and clear routines in place for students and staff alike.

Our cover lessons are highly prescribed with children, working in silence on high quality pre-set work. The expectations of these lessons are the same as any other and you will supported to ensure that attitude and behaviour in these sessions is of the same high standard as it is in the rest of the school.

We are delighted to be part of The Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust – a values driven, rapidly growing Trust with a relentless focus on transforming lives through learning by delivering outstanding outcomes for every student, regardless of background. With a reputation for highly successful school improvement in very challenging circumstances, we are passionate about driving up standards and raising the aspirations of all our students.

We would encourage you to arrange a visit to the school so you can see just how amazing our students are- please contact Sue Cox at To apply for further information on each of our positions please go to
