NJC Grade D, £20,092 – £22,183 (Actual £8,740 – £9,649 pa)
740 hours per annum worked over 39 weeks plus 1 week during the summer holidays
We are looking to recruit an exams officer to join our existing administration team based at Cranbrook Education Campus. The post is initially part-time as being a new school, our year 11 cohorts are relatively small.
On average, the postholder will work 18.5 hours per week however flexibility around working times will be required when exams are taking place to ensure the exams officer is available on site. Additional time worked during these periods can be taken as time off in lieu during quieter periods.
Applicants must have excellent communication and administrative skills and be confident in the use of ICT. You should have a proven ability to work under pressure and be able to maintain a high level of accuracy whilst meeting deadlines.
Ideally the successful candidate will have prior experience of working in a school environment and be familiar using SIMS. Alternatively a professional background that enables the postholder to comfortably manage formal processes is desirable.
The postholder must be confident in dealing with enquiries from staff, parents, students and examination bodies as the role will include acting as an initial point of contact for exam enquiries.
The post holder will be responsible for the administration of all internal and external exams at the school. Ideally you will be familiar with examination regulations and have experience of working with multiple awarding bodies. We ideally are seeking for the existing postholder to complete a handover process with the successful applicant.
If successful you will join the Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust, a charitable foundation trust, which works with schools in Devon and the local community to raise the aspirations of young people and enable them to become fulfilled, confident and motivated citizens, able to contribute actively to a democratic society. All students within the Ted Wragg Trust, regardless of social or cultural background, are motivated to succeed and make outstanding progress because their needs are met through creative, relevant and innovative provision.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS disclosure is required for this post.
