We are seeking an experienced individual to join our central team on a temporary basis as our Procurement Officer. The post is advertised on a 37 hours per week basis, all-year round, however, both elements are open to flexibility for the right candidate.
This is an important role within our team, with a strong focus on building effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we achieve best value and excellent partnership working. The position is based in our Finance office in Cranbrook, but will involve some travel to our academies and to work with our wider central team – Estates, HR and IT colleagues. Elements of hybrid working are possible.
The post-holder will be educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally but not essential, be a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply. You will have experience in the procurement of a complex entity including managing tender processes, contract negotiation, sourcing products and achieving value for money.
You will be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing with meticulous attention to detail. You will have experience of using finance and procurement systems and demonstrate your ability to analyse accounting and procurement information. The post-holder should have a flexible and forward-thinking approach to problem solving. You will also have excellent time management and organisational skills, work well as part of a service orientated team and be decisive, solutions-focused with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
