We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Assistant to join our large SEN team and work with our amazing children in an inclusive, innovative and exciting environment.

At Marine Academy we are determined to help children succeed irrespective of background. We are looking for a passionate SEND Assistant to work as part of a large SEN team, providing support for students with a variety of special educational needs. Over the last two years the school has grown in size and the quality of education that the students receive is now world class.

The role will require flexibility and you will be working within our on-site Wellbeing Zone as well as in-class. You will be working with students who may require 1-2-1 attention and your ability to build relationships, exhibit patience and remain calm and reassuring at all times will be essential.

We encourage applications from people who may be considering teaching as a long-term career and are looking for experience of working in one of the most successful schools in the region.

We are delighted to be part of The Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust – a values driven, rapidly growing Trust with a relentless focus on transforming lives through learning by delivering outstanding outcomes for every student, regardless of background.

With a reputation for highly successful school improvement in very challenging circumstances, we are passionate about driving up standards and raising the aspirations of all our students.

The Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and operate in accordance with the Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy. All applicants will be subject to a full Disclosure and Barring Service check before an appointment is confirmed.  This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

The Trust is committed to ensuring that our employees are able to achieve their full potential in an environment offering dignity, respect and equality of opportunity.

We would encourage you to arrange a visit to the school so you can see just how amazing our students are- please contact Sue Cox at sue.cox@marineacademy.org.uk
