We are an inclusive Federation at the heart of our community and we are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is keen to join us as we continue on our journey to implement effective continuous provision from Nursery into KS1. We believe that children learn best through well planned and resourced playful learning opportunities and that it is our job to teach them the skills and then give them the time and space to practice and refine their skills through self chosen activities. We teach phonics and reading using Read, Write Inc and are looking for a Teaching Assistant with experience of this programme or those who would be willing to learn how to deliver phonics sessions in order to take a group of children for a daily session during our whole school phonics time. You will receive excellent training and ongoing support from our school Reading Leader

In January 2022 we will be one of only nine Devon schools selected to set up a resource base for children with communication and difficulties. This reflects both our commitment to inclusion and the quality of support we currently provide.

For the successful candidate, we can offer a dynamic working environment, excellent training, wide ranging career development opportunities and a real opportunity to make a difference to the lives of our pupils. We also pride ourselves on our welcoming and inclusive ethos.

We are proud to be a member of the Ted Wragg Multi Academy Trust and its reputation for successful school improvement. The trust is committed to further improving standards of education for all children no matter what their starting point or their background.
