Lipson Co-operative Academy students achieve great results

Lipson Co-Operative Academy best performing non-selective school in Plymouth this year

Education performance data released yesterday (19th October) by the Department for Education (DfE) shows that Lipson Co-operative Academy, part of the Ted Wragg Trust, has received an above average Progress 8 score.

Progress 8 is one of the main performance measures for schools and tracks student progress from the end of Primary school through to GCSE.

Lipson Co-Operative Academy is the best performing school in Plymouth this year and these results represent the best ever that a non-selective school has ever achieved in Plymouth.

Mr Martin Brook, Headteacher at Lipson Co-operative Academy said:

“I am absolutely delighted with the results our students achieved in 2023 – they should be so proud.  Their results are a testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication of our staff. Everything at Lipson Cooperative Academy starts with our students, whose best interests shape every decision we make.”

Moira Marder, CEO of the Ted Wragg Trust said:

“Everyone at Lipson deserves a massive congratulations for this great achievement.  I could not be prouder of our students and staff.”
