Governor Vacancies ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The purpose of local governance is to Support, Challenge & Champion the school and its community.

We have a number of co-opted local governor vacancies across our Trust family of schools in Plymouth, Exeter and East Devon.

Who can be a Local Governor

  • Anyone over the age of 18 and you don’t need to be a parent.
  • Do you work in a higher or further education provider local to one of our schools who can support with building relationships between the school and the provider.
  • Do you work in a school provision local to one of our schools who can support with building relationships, bringing focus and context to transition and sharing best practice.
  • You may be a young professional, looking to build your board experience.
  • Perhaps you work in a local business, and you are interested in the link between education and local employment.
  • Maybe you are recently retired and are looking to use your experience and skills for the benefit of your community.

Why become a Local Governor

Parent and Staff Governors

Any vacancies for staff or parent governors will be communicated out to the school community with details of how to apply for election.
