The Children’s Workforce Foundation Degree
We’re excited to be delivering a new Foundation Degree for those working with children in Devon, in partnership with the Centre for the Children’s Workforce and the University of East London.
We’re lucky to have wonderfully dedicated, talented and values-driven people already working with children across Devon and we want to harness that potential in our communities, to grow great local people who are committed to transforming lives in Devon.
About the Foundation degree
The two year Foundation Degree is designed for those already working with children who want to develop their expertise, gain qualifications, and progress in their careers without leaving their jobs or their communities.
Open to those who do not already hold a degree, the programme will allow you to gain Level 4 and 5 qualifications, strengthen your expertise as well as pave the way for a full degree and open doors to graduate roles across multiple sectors.
We recognise that for many, going away to university is a barrier to getting a degree and we don’t think they should miss out. The degree will allow you to:
- Earn while you learn
- Study flexibly with weekly sessions
- Stay in your community and current job role
- Open doors to graduate roles
Who we are looking for
Open to those who do not already hold a degree, the programme will allow participants to gain Level 4 and 5 qualifications, strengthen expertise as well as pave the way for a full degree and open doors to graduate roles across multiple sectors.
