The Exe Valley Challenge and Jurassic Coast Challenge

The Exe Valley Challenge and Jurassic Coast Challenge, offered to Year 7 and Year 8 students, takes place annually at Isca Academy and features over 140 teams from schools across Exeter and the surrounding region. The aim is to provide an exciting opportunity for children to challenge themselves and work independently in a fun and safe environment.

Isca Academy - Exe Valley Challenge  Ultra Challenge

The Exe Valley Challenge and Jurassic Coast Challenge are designed to develop confidence, resilience and teamwork through a series of exciting physical and mental challenges. Working in teams, students are encouraged to think independently, solve problems and support one another as they navigate a variety of tasks and activities.

The events provide a valuable opportunity for students to step outside their comfort zones, build new friendships and develop important life skills beyond the classroom. Whether tackling challenges on the Isca Academy site or exploring the stunning landscapes of the Jurassic Coast, participants are encouraged to demonstrate determination, leadership and collaboration throughout the experience.

Both challenges have become a well-established part of the Ted Wragg Trust enrichment programme, bringing together hundreds of young people each year. By combining adventure, teamwork and personal development, the events create memorable experiences that help students grow in confidence while having fun and celebrating their achievements.
