Congratulations to our winner:
Lipson Co-operative Academy
It is hard to do justice in words to the profound connection between Lipson Co-operative Academy and the community it serves. This is a school that doesn't simply sit within its community; it is woven into its fabric. Whether through its food larder supporting local families, its exceptional music programme creating life-changing opportunities and bringing people together, or the countless acts of kindness, care and service that happen every day, Lipson's impact extends far beyond the school gates.
What makes Lipson truly special is the sense of belonging it creates. Staff describe it as their 'forever school', and pupils, families and colleagues consistently rate their experience significantly above national benchmarks. In a sector that is too often told it must choose between belonging and brilliance, Lipson proves that it is possible for a secondary school to excel at both.
Children are known, valued and supported to thrive, while also achieving the outcomes that open doors to their futures. Ofsted recognised this earlier this year, capturing the warmth, ambition and deep sense of community that everyone who knows Lipson already understands. Most importantly, children leave Lipson knowing they matter. They leave with wonderful memories, strong qualifications, lasting friendships and the confidence to take on whatever comes next.
